Pine Table Partners Team
Ted Grozier, Founder
In the last two decades, business has recognized the strategic importance of sustainability. Today, more than 85% of S&P 500 companies publish sustainability or corporate responsibility reports. At the same time, Small-to-Mid-size Businesses (SMBs) comprise nearly half of U.S. gross domestic product, employ more than half of U.S. workers, and have a sizable environmental footprint. Ted Grozier founded Pine Table Partners out of the recognition that smaller organizations – while often unable to justify a dedicated in-house sustainability team – while often unable to justify a dedicated in-house sustainability team – are missing opportunities to capture value from improved environmental performance and rapidly shifting customer, workforce, and investor demands.
Ted is expert at leading cross-functional teams to turn environmental innovation into business success. In Berlin, Germany, where he lived for eight years, he served as Flagship Manager for EIT Climate-KIC, the European Union’s largest climate innovation initiative, launching a pan-European initiative to convert waste CO2 into a valuable raw material. In the U.S., he was Engagement Manager at GreenOrder, (called the “go-to guys for green business” by Fortune magazine) working with organizations such as General Electric, General Motors, and a leading global chemicals company.
Ted is a Harvard engineer with an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He lives in Shelburne, Vermont with his wife, two daughters, and five bicycles. He works at a pine table that was made in 1860.
